Q - Tell us abt urself, growing up, family, e.t.c. Pls leave nuttin out.
A - Ok My Name Is Paschal Emeka Karachukwu Ihejeto [A.K.A VDJ Bombay]... I'm from Imo State [Ngor/Opkala L.G.A]...I'm The first from a fam of three...Grew up wit my folks, Siblings... Abroad and mainly here in Nigeria...I'm a fun loving dude, who is so much in love wit music...Went to Government Sec School in Owerri Imo State, And further to Imo State University..[BSC] Graduated from [I.M.C.B]

Q - How come we have a DJ with a degree in I.M.C.B? They are worlds apart. Lol!
A - You can say that again...It sure is the representation or expression of the quality in me, that is a tangible quote...I will say I was born with music in me, cos practically everything i do is music, I read wit music, sleep with it to...And in terms of my profession as a micro-biologist it does not interfere with my Love for Disc Jockeying.

I think it adds more meaning to late Nate Dogg's "Music & Me".

Q - So how did you come about the name "Bombay"? Does it have any particular meaning?
A - The name Bombay is a city in India, And DJ BOMBAY [I] was born there...So when i was a kid, peeps kept asking where is that 1 that was born in ''BOMBAY'' From there I took my name...

Q - You were known for dancing back in your Secondary School and University days. When did you decide to become a DJ?
A - Hmmm! Yes I am a dancer cos I still dance well... I decided to become a DJ when i got ma degree. i used to listen to DJs those days and I actually thought that I could do better than them, if I put my music mind together with the skills. So I actually went to the club that same day and told the DJ [DJ Bishop] Concorde Hotel Owerri...I want to become a DJ *He said go and play*

Q - Back in O'town, you were regarded as the best DJ. Tell us about that period of your life.
A - It was a very interesting period of my life, you know having love for what you do and peep's who are family recognize you...It's like having your dreams come true, everything I wanted was in Owerri.. the crowd, good friends, family. I miss that town

Q - How has it been since you moved to Abuja?
A - I'd say it's challenging, which I love. I cant be a true king without exposure and experience... these are the qualities I'm in pursuit of.

Q - So how does the nite-life and entertainment scenery in Abuja compare to that of O'town?
A - Abuja has more night-crawlers than O'town, but when it comes to having fun, O'town is the best...And I have more working days here than in O'town...That's more income...$$$$

Q - It's amazing that you frequently visit O'town to give them a taste of your magic. How do you find the time?
A - Sure I do cos I can't stay without my peeps...And y'all know I have boys down there too. I need them to step up their game...I actually find time mainly month end or when I have events in O'town, like this weekend am coming home on Sunday..

Q - Lots of peeps felt a move to Lagos would have been best to help project you. But it doesn't look like Abuja is failing in that aspect.
A - Yeah Las Gidi as it is now is the heart of entertainment, and i don't want to build up a one sided community. My bus stop is Lagos...That's why i choose Abuja...first b4 Lagos.

Q - Tell us about your high points as a DJ
A - When I make peeps go crazy while I'm playing #SREAMANDSHOUT...

Q - Any low points for you as a DJ?
A - In Nigeria here some people don't regard DJs, so with that mentality, they tend to look down on them & even price them low...It has got to change....

Q - It's quite sad, considering that DJs actually make some tunes gain popularity. Take #Khona and #Windeck for instance...Those tunes are not too super on their own, at-least to me. But they come alive in the club when a DJ works his magic on em
A - That is the fact, such things are bound to change with time. And the DJs are not even recognized when it comes to promotions.

Q - Did u actually perform at the National Awards Nite in 2011? What was it like?
A - It was like a profile boost and a good experience to me to...Though I've been in bigger events but having them covered without any down sets, it's a good thing...

Q - Could you quickly run through some high profile events u've covered?
A - STAR QUEST 2008, MBGN 2009, NAN 2011, AY LIVE 2010 and Lots more....Official @HennessyNIGERIA VDj Abuja...Official @KISSFMABUJA VDJ...Official @naija_fm VDJ...

Q - Your CV is pretty AMAZING! U really have got it locked down.
A - Thank You Very Much...

Q - How has life been for you as a celebrity? With all the lights..camera..action and razz-mataz!
A - That is the life i don't seem to be comfortable with some times I wish to be normal...

Q - Are you for real? Some folks would give anything to trade their lives for yours, man.
A - AM a very simple person... but don't ride on me...

Q - Folks who are close to you testify to your humility, How do you stay that way considering your status?
A - I'm just me, can't change That. Guess I was born that way.

Now that's cool! Keep it that way.

Q - There was once rumuors about you floating a clothing label, any truth in that?
A - That is right the clothing line is storming it's first exhibition by Dec..Y'all should watch out

A - I give it to @Therealdtunes

Q - Folks have adopted Giveaways on social media as a way of giving back to their fans. You did one 2day. Would there be more?
A - Sure, every two days

Q - Finally, I am sure most of the ladies would like to know if you are still single, so tell us, are you?
A - I'm engaged bro

The Forgiving Heart - For Couples!

Dear Children,

Should the Lord give you the good gift of a husband or wife, and I hope He does, there are a few things I want you to know. Things that you may not hear from anyone else, and certainly not on TV or other media. Sadly,... your church may not even tell you.

Marriage, sweet little people, is not for the purpose of your happiness. Happy as I want you to be and hope you will be, you must yet understand that marriage is God’s design and His purposes must be pursued in order for you to be truly happy. His end is holiness and He will use all things in a life devoted to Him to fulfill that end.

To my girls:

Marry a man whose first pursuit is Christ. After that, he is not hard to please. Admire him, cheer him on and show gratitude, and he will fall over himself trying to please you. Smile often, speak well of him always, and do whatever necessary to try and maintain a pleasant mood about you so that it transfers to your home, making it a place where he and your children love to be.

You’ll have bad days of course, crying days even, and that’s when you go to your bedroom, kneel on the floor and beg the Lord to carry you. Then get up, get a fresh perspective (crayons will come off the wall), and try again. Above all else, make a home.

To my boys:

Marry a woman whose first pursuit is Christ. After that, she may be hard to please only if you don’t know “the secret”. What is that? I’m glad you asked. The secret to pleasing your wife is to make her feel safe and treasured. You may have to move out of your comfort zone to do this at times. She won’t always readily translate the oil change to love, though it means that. But let me give you a “secret question”–a question you need to ask her often. It’s not just in the asking, though. Be sure to focus your eyes on hers, maybe even touch her shoulder or face, and then ask: “What’s on your mind these days? “ And then be ready to listen. She wants you to draw her out. She will perceive this as your protection over the matters of her heart. Tenderness, listening, protection. That’s what she wants.

To you all:

If your wife or husband does something really stupid, forgive. If they do it again, forgive again. Forgiveness must be the propelling force in your lives each day. Dwell on the strengths, push out thoughts of their weaknesses. Take every thought captive – choose to love.

Here’s that part you are not going to hear often:

If you find yourself “not happy”, having lost attraction, disinterested, etc., you are not permitted to even think about a divorce. If you find yourselves arguing more and more, don’t think for a minute that “the children will be better off out of this”, because they won’t.

The vows you took on your wedding day were not suggestions. They were covenant vows, before a Holy God, family and friends, to stay with this person the rest of your life, even if you don’t feel like it. You swore a solemn oath and if you can’t live up to it, don’t get married. Decide up front that your marriage is irrevocable. There is far more motivation for getting along if your “marriage house” has no door.

Do not share intimate thoughts or feelings with anyone of the opposite sex. Do not find yourself alone for any length of time with such either.

Divorce is not a “private option”. It will affect multiple families for many generations. When you “separate what God has joined” you permanently injure far more than just yourself.

Guard your marriage as fiercely as you would guard your own life. Treat your spouse as an extension of your flesh, just as God sees you. Treat your spouse like other family members. You know, “you gotta love ‘em, they’re the only family you’ve got”.

I want you to be happy, I surely do. But I will pray for you to be holy.

Proverbs 19:14 - "Houses and wealth are inherited from parents, but a prudent wife is from the LORD."
Proverbs 20:6-7 - "Many a man claims to have unfailing love, but a faithful man who can find? The righteous man leads a blameless life; blessed are his children after him."

God bless you saints!
