The PTDF is a parastatal of the Ministry of Petroleum Established by the decree 25 of 1973 for the purpose of developing and promoting petroleum technology.
Our aim is to train Nigerians to qualify as graduates, professionals, craftsmen and technicians in any field of engineering, geology, science and management in the oil and gas industry.
We are inviting qualified applicants for Oversea M.Sc and PhD scholarship. This scholarship will be awarded for studies in the 2013/2014 session in UK and France while that of the undergraduate will be awarded for studies in Nigeria only.
Method Of Application
You can access the online application form using your ATM card or through purchase of scratch card from designated main branches of First Bank Of Nigeria Plc in all states in Nigeria and FCT, upon payment of a Non Refundable Sum of N1,000. How to access the online form is clearly stated on the backside of the scratch cards.
Only applicant who meet the requirement below will be shortlisted for aptitude test and interview.
Requirement For Undergraduate Scholarship
- applicants must be in their second year in the University
- applicants must possess 5 O’Level credit in SSCE/NECO to include Maths and English
- applicants must have minimum CGPA of 3.0 on scale of 5 or 4.5 on a scale of 7 in their 1st year
- applicants must scan and attach copy of their admission letter
- applicants that are admitted through direct entry into the University must have the following
(A) minimum of Upper Credit at their diploma level
(B) minimum of 10 point in interim Joint Matriculation Board Examination
(C) minimum of 8 points at the advanced level GCE
For Those Applying For M.Sc Scholarship Oversea
- minimum of Second Class Upper Division in Oil and Gas related course or a second class Lower Division with experience in oil and gas industry
- applicants must have completed their NYSC
- applicants should know how to operate computer
- applicants must be less than 30 years of age
- applicants must have credit in their O’Level English Language while applicant that do not have credit in English Language should possess any of the following below
(A) TOEFL
(B) GRE
(C) Gmat
(D) IELTS
For Those Applying For PhD Scholarship Oversea
- applicants should be in the academic setting of a Nigerian Institution
- applicants must have at least second class lower in their first degree and a very good grade in their second degree
- applicants must submit a research proposal of not more than 5 pages. the topic will be oil and gas related
